The Nineveh Criminal Court has issued a ten-year in-presence prison sentence to an employee at a government gas station affiliated with the Ministry of Oil, following his conviction for embezzling over one billion dinars in public funds. The Federal Integrity Commission clarified that the embezzled amount represents the revenues from the sale of petroleum products at the station during August and September of last year. The court's decision was based on the provisions of the penal code, as the evidence presented was deemed sufficient and convincing to prove the charges against the convict.
