mniraq - The General Authority of Customs announced on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) the destruction of a quantity of medicines banned from entering the country at the Mandali border customs center, after completing the legal and technical procedures related to them.
According to the authority's statement, the destruction process was carried out through a joint committee that included the health center, the Mandali customs center, the National Intelligence Service office, the National Security office, in addition to the licensing and intelligence division at the crossing, the investigation division, and customs police.
The authority confirmed that these measures come within its continuous efforts to tighten control and inspection of materials entering through border crossings, and to prevent the entry of materials violating regulations and instructions, especially medicines and medical materials not permitted for import, which contributes to protecting society and enhancing health security.
