Two Suspects Arrested for Affiliation with Extremist Movements and Promoting Emigration

The Rusafa Investigation Court announced the arrest of two suspects who confessed to being affiliated with an unauthorized religious movement, widely known as the "Al-Yamani Movement." The Iraqi judiciary clarified that the operation was the result of precise monitoring and high-level coordination with competent security agencies. The suspects' confessions regarding their membership in the movement were judicially ratified. They admitted to promoting the marriage of movement members and encouraging youth emigration through social media platforms, as well as knowing about the disappearance of a young woman intended to be married outside Iraq. Judicial authorities confirmed that investigations and security efforts are ongoing to track down the remaining fugitives and take necessary legal actions.
