Security Officer Killed in Armed Attack in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Southeastern Iran

An Iranian police officer was assassinated following an armed attack targeting him while he was heading to his workplace in the Sistan and Baluchestan province, located in the southeastern part of the country. This border region is considered one of the areas experiencing continuous security challenges, with recurring attacks targeting security forces, alongside notable activity by armed groups and smuggling networks, which has previously resulted in casualties among security personnel and civilians.
