The National Security Service in Anbar Governorate announced on Friday the dismantling of a criminal network involved in drug trafficking, the arrest of 50 of its members, and the seizure of a laboratory dedicated to manufacturing narcotic pills. An official statement indicated that the operation was executed based on precise intelligence and rigorous monitoring. It began with catching one member red-handed with narcotics intended for distribution, which expanded the investigation to capture the rest of the network. This preemptive operation resulted in the seizure of over 2.5 kilograms of crystal meth and approximately 15,000 narcotic pills. All suspects have been referred to the competent judicial authorities for appropriate legal action.
