mniraq - The National Security Service announced the arrest of three individuals accused of drug trafficking and smuggling in the Kirkuk and Basra provinces, based on precise intelligence and cross-referenced information from within prisons.
The service stated in an official press release that tactical team detachments in Kirkuk, in collaboration with the intelligence security center in reform departments, successfully apprehended two suspects after obtaining judicial approvals. Authorities seized over a kilogram of crystal meth and various drug paraphernalia in their possession.
The statement added that ongoing investigations in Basra province, guided by confessions from several detainees, led to the identification of a drug dealer involved in smuggling narcotics. Specialized detachments successfully arrested the third suspect red-handed.
The National Security Service confirmed that all necessary legal measures have been taken against the accused, and they have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations and face justice.
