mniraq - The Anti-Narcotics Directorate in Dhi Qar province successfully dismantled a drug trafficking network comprising 9 suspects, including a foreign national, and seized significant quantities of crystal meth.
In a security statement, the directorate noted that the operation was the culmination of consecutive security strikes executed recently, which led to luring the network members and arresting them under a tight security and intelligence plan.
The statement added that security forces confiscated over 3 kilograms of crystal meth from the suspects, along with drug paraphernalia, weapons, and ammunition in their possession.
The directorate confirmed that all formal legal procedures have been taken against the network members, who were referred, along with the seized items, to the competent judicial authorities for further investigation and legal action.
