mniraq - The Intelligence and Security Directorate announced on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) the arrest of a Pakistani national who stole 18 million Iraqi dinars from a fuel station in Karbala province.
The directorate stated in a statement that field intelligence and security detachments in Karbala managed to arrest the suspect, noting that 14 million dinars were seized in his possession, while it was found that he had transferred 4 million dinars to Pakistan.
It added that legal measures were taken against the suspect, in preparation for referring him to the competent judicial authorities.
