Extensive Security Operation in Al-Battawin Arrests Suspects on Terrorism and Money Laundering Charges

mniraq - Baghdad Rusafa Police Command announced the implementation of a comprehensive proactive security and inspection campaign in the Al-Battawin area of central Baghdad. The operation involved specialized security, intelligence, traffic, civil defense, and tourist security units aimed at inspecting residential properties and seizing unlicensed weapons. The campaign resulted in the arrest of eight wanted individuals under various legal charges, including money laundering and terrorism financing, alongside the detention of 65 residency law violators and the closure of an illegal liquor establishment.
