mniraq - Colonel Turki Al-Malki, spokesman for the Saudi-led Coalition forces, announced on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) that the areas of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif in the Kingdom came under attacks carried out by Ansar Allah (Houthi) group with ballistic missiles and drones.
In a statement, Al-Malki said the attacks resulted in the injury of 13 civilians, in addition to damage to 7 residential houses and two vehicles, stressing that the continuation of deliberate attacks proves the group's approach of escalation and targeting civilian objects and civilians.
Al-Malki emphasized that the forces will deal with these attacks with responsibility and firmness, and will take all necessary operational measures to deter the group.
Earlier on Monday, Brigadier Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Ansar Allah group, announced the targeting of an air base in the Khamis Mushait area inside Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and drones.
Most Yemeni areas have been witnessing a military escalation following the Houthis' announcement on July 13 to end the de-escalation phase in effect since late 2022, against the backdrop of airstrikes that targeted Sana'a International Airport before the landing of an Iranian plane carrying a delegation for the group.
