The Border Ports Authority announced the commencement of its organizational plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein. According to an official statement, a high-level delegation—including the Head of the Border Ports Authority, Lieutenant General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations and Head of the Supreme Committee for Million-Man Pilgrimages, General Qais Al-Mohammadawi, and Head of the Service Committee, Ali Razouqi Al-Lami—visited Diyala Governorate. The visit aimed to review the final preparations at the Munziriyah border crossing and monitor the coordination plans for the pilgrimage season. During a conference held at the Diyala Operations Command, officials emphasized the importance of defining responsibilities and strengthening cooperation between security and service sectors to ensure a seamless flow of pilgrims. The delegation also met with Iranian officials at the Munziriyah crossing to discuss border-crossing procedures, support for service caravans, and the provision of necessary logistics. Al-Waeli reiterated that the authority is actively executing its plan in coordination with all relevant departments to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and organization.
