mniraq - Karbala Operations Command carried out on Sunday (September 20, 2026) a wide-ranging field inspection operation covering the Ain al-Tamer district sector and the shores of Razzaza Lake, with the aim of enhancing security stability in the province.
A security source stated that the operation came under the direction of Karbala Operations Commander, Staff Lieutenant General Ali Ghazi Al-Hashimi, and under the field supervision of the deputy operations commander and the provincial police chief, with the participation of joint formations including the 33rd Infantry Brigade, the Commandos Brigade, and police emergency regiments, in addition to intelligence services and the Popular Mobilization Forces, supported by Army Aviation.
The source added that the duty aims to sweep remote areas, impose security and stability, and provide a safe environment befitting the religious importance and special status of the holy city of Karbala.
