mniraq - Diyala Police Command announced on Sunday (September 20, 2026) the arrest of a wanted defendant under Article (4/Terrorism) in Al-Abbara district of the province.
The command clarified that the arrest operation took place under the direct supervision of Diyala Police Chief, Major General Mohammed Kazem Atiya, where detachments of Al-Abbara Police Department, in cooperation with Diyala Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate detachments, managed to apprehend the defendant.
It indicated that the operation was carried out based on precise intelligence information and field follow-up, confirming that the necessary legal procedures were taken against the defendant and that he was referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigation.
