The National Security Service announced on Friday a successful operation targeting drug trafficking networks, resulting in the arrest of two suspects in the capital, Baghdad. The agency confirmed in an official statement that the operation was executed based on precise intelligence and intensive field surveillance, following the obtainment of necessary judicial approvals. The suspects were apprehended in a well-planned ambush, where quantities of crystal meth, along with firearms and cash, were seized in their possession. The statement noted that the suspects and the confiscated items have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities to face legal proceedings.
