mniraq - The Federal Integrity Commission has executed arrest warrants against the former director of the Al-Muthanna General Electricity Distribution Company and twelve other defendants involved in wasting public funds exceeding six billion Iraqi dinars.
Field investigations conducted by the commission's teams revealed that the defendants orchestrated deals to purchase large quantities of electrical equipment that far exceeded actual operational needs, manipulating procurement requests and measurement units to acquire unused panels and equipment.
The specialized investigative court decided to detain the suspects, issue arrest warrants for remaining fugitives, and impose travel bans on all individuals implicated in wasting energy sector resources in the governorate.
