mniraq - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of an arrest warrant against a former official in the accounts department of Salah Al-Din Governorate against the background of appropriating about three billion dinars allocated for supplying generator fuel, in addition to monitoring public fund waste resulting from supplying Tuz Hospital with medical equipment without need and leaving them uninstalled.

The Commission explained that investigation and auditing work revealed the former official's acquisition of the amount after receiving it from the procurement committee under the pretext of authorization, noting that the judge issued the arrest warrant in accordance with the provisions of the Penal Code. The Commission also monitored slackness and waste in the health department due to medical equipment vulnerable to obsolescence, confirming the continuation of legal procedures to identify culprits.
