The Iraqi National Security Service announced the execution of a series of qualitative operations at border crossings and checkpoints over the past 48 hours. The operations resulted in 31 legal seizures and the arrest of 29 suspects for various crimes, including drug trafficking, forgery, terrorism, and violating residency conditions. In a related context, the Service received a prominent terrorist suspect at Baghdad International Airport after he was extradited from abroad, immediately referring him to judicial authorities. The regulatory efforts also led to the confiscation of over three thousand pharmaceutical items violating active health regulations, as well as the destruction of large quantities of foodstuff unfit for human consumption according to approved legal procedures.
