Wasit Health Department announced on Friday (May 8, 2026) the death of a woman and her son, and the injury of two others with serious wounds following a horrific traffic accident on Al-Kut - Al-Hay road.
A medical source reported that most of the accident victims belong to one family, indicating that they were in one vehicle.
He added that the injured were immediately transferred to the hospital to receive emergency treatment, while competent authorities initiated their legal and investigative procedures to uncover the circumstances and causes of the accident.
