The Al-Munthiriya border crossing in Diyala Governorate recorded the entry of more than 50,000 pilgrims within the past 24 hours to participate in religious ceremonies. Authorities overseeing the organization of service processions confirmed that the crossing has entered a peak phase in receiving pilgrims arriving from neighboring and Islamic countries, expecting the influx of large crowds to continue for about a week before the reverse dispatch process begins. To ensure a smooth flow and provide comfort, dozens of service processions have deployed along the road connecting the crossing to the governorate center and all the way to the capital, Baghdad. These service preparations are accompanied by high-level security coordination between the processions and military units assigned to protect pilgrim routes, ensuring the success of the approved security and organizational plans.
