mniraq - The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced the dismantling of a network involved in drug counterfeiting and trademark forgery, seizing more than 300 thousand materials and tools used in manufacturing and packaging counterfeit preparations and arresting nine suspects in Baghdad.
The operation came following precise intelligence information indicating the presence of a workshop for refilling materials used in drug counterfeiting and distributing them to pharmacies in packages bearing fake global brand trademarks.
The agency explained that a security force carried out the raid after obtaining judicial approvals, seized the confiscated items, closed the site, and referred the suspects to the judiciary to take necessary legal procedures regarding them to protect citizens' health security.
