Ministry of Health Destroys Massive Quantities of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Anti-Drug Effort

The Ministry of Health announced the destruction of massive quantities of previously confiscated narcotics and psychotropic substances, totaling approximately 239 kilograms, in addition to thousands of pills and controlled medical substances. The destruction process was carried out under strict standards within specialized incinerators reaching temperatures of 1000°C, ensuring their complete reduction to ash free of any harmful chemical compounds. The operation was supervised by a high-level joint governmental and judicial committee, reaffirming the authorities' commitment to executing the comprehensive national strategy to combat the drug epidemic and protect society.
