The Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that Civil Defense teams successfully rescued six premature infants and extinguished a fire that broke out at Al-Numan Hospital in the Adhamiya district of Baghdad, with no casualties reported. In an official statement, Major General Miqdad Miri, Head of the Ministry's Relations and Media Department, confirmed that specialized teams fully controlled the fire, which was caused by an electrical fault in an air conditioning unit. He emphasized that the teams initiated a rapid and safe evacuation of the infants immediately upon receiving the report, successfully putting out the fire in record time without any human losses.
