Investigation Launched into the Suicide of a Colonel-Ranked Officer Inside His Home in Baghdad

A security source reported that security agencies have launched an urgent investigation into an incident where a Colonel-ranked officer, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, ended his life using a firearm inside his home in the Mansour area of the capital, Baghdad. The source explained that forensic teams began their duties at the scene to collect fingerprints and evidence in order to determine the true causes and motives behind this incident. The body of the deceased was transferred to the forensic medicine department to complete the necessary legal procedures, while the source confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to uncover all the circumstances of the incident, and the results will be announced upon completion.
