mniraq - The Federal Integrity Commission announced today (Friday, September 11) that it has "arrested" the director of the Investment Department at Tikrit Municipality on charges of promoting investment transactions and granting land plots outside legal controls.
The commission said in a statement that it "arrested the investment department director and seized a collection of priority documents belonging to Tikrit Municipality at his residence, in addition to amounts of money in dinars and dollars and a collection of gold jewelry."
The commission indicated that the arrest was carried out through an arrest warrant issued by the investigative judge of Salah al-Din specialized in integrity cases, noting that the suspect "deliberately violated his job duties with the intent of achieving personal benefit at the state's expense."
