The General Commission of Customs announced on Friday the interception of an imported plastic shipment violating regulatory standards at the Bawa Mahmoud customs checkpoint. In a press release, the Directorate stated that teams from the Northern Region Customs Directorate, in joint coordination with relevant security agencies, successfully seized the truck during routine inspection and verification processes at the inspection yard. Initial investigations revealed that the shipment, of Iranian origin, bore a barcode indicating it was a local product, constituting a clear violation of regulations. Necessary legal measures have been taken, and an official seizure report for the confiscated materials was filed in accordance with effective laws.
