Drug Trafficking Network Dismantled and Three Operatives Arrested in Basra

The Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Basra province announced on Friday the execution of a specialized security operation that resulted in the dismantling of a criminal network active in the promotion and trade of illicit drugs. The Directorate stated in an official release that the operation was carried out based on precise intelligence and continuous field surveillance of the network members' activities. These efforts culminated in a tightly planned ambush, leading to the arrest of three suspects caught in the act, along with the confiscation of quantities of crystal meth in their possession, pending strict legal action.
