Destruction of Massive Quantities of Narcotics in Basra Under Judicial Supervision

Judicial and health authorities announced the destruction of significant quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances seized and confiscated in Basra Province. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of specialized committees, resulting in the destruction of approximately 240 kilograms of various illicit drugs, in addition to thousands of banned pills and narcotic medical preparations used outside legal frameworks. This step comes as a continuation of legal measures aimed at combating the spread of illicit drugs and protecting the security and safety of society.
