Customs Authority Foils Smuggling Attempts Involving Foreign Currency, Weapons, and Pharmaceuticals

The General Customs Authority announced the execution of dozens of specialized operations across various border checkpoints aimed at curbing smuggling and protecting the national economy. The authority revealed that these efforts successfully thwarted attempts to smuggle substantial foreign currency at major airports, alongside seizing unlicensed firearms, bank cards, and unauthorized pharmaceuticals. Additionally, hundreds of tons of unfit food products and animal feed were destroyed or returned in coordination with relevant authorities.
