The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced the execution of a series of targeted security operations that led to the arrest of two drug traffickers, alongside conducting extensive reconnaissance and inspection sweeps. The CTS reported that its forces, in coordination with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances and the Police Command, successfully apprehended a trafficker in Al-Muthanna Governorate. A separate operation in Dhi Qar Governorate resulted in the arrest of a second trafficker. Additionally, CTS forces carried out widespread reconnaissance sweeps across multiple districts in Dhi Qar to secure the borders with the governorates of Wasit, Al-Diwaniyah, Maysan, Basra, and Al-Muthanna. The Service emphasized that these operations are based on precise intelligence and official judicial warrants.
