Civil Defense Rescues 50 Citizens, Extinguishes Building Fire in Central Baghdad

Iraqi Civil Defense teams successfully evacuated 50 citizens and extinguished a blaze that broke out inside a building in Baghdad's central Karrada district, with no casualties reported. According to Civil Defense authorities, the fire originated from oil accumulation inside a restaurant exhaust duct before spreading to other parts of the building, sending heavy smoke toward an adjacent residential property. Ten firefighting and rescue units, equipped with an aerial ladder truck, were deployed to contain the fire. Rescue crews safely evacuated all trapped individuals, including two people rescued from a telecommunications tower atop the building's roof.
