Authorities Thwart the Distribution of Banned Industrial Fats in the Capital

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the seizure of massive quantities of manufactured fats and animal tails banned from importation, found inside a refrigerated truck in the Al-Fadhiliya area of Baghdad. In an official statement, the Ministry explained that the Veterinary Directorate, in cooperation with economic security teams, successfully confiscated these materials arriving through border crossings before they could reach local markets. Authorities confirmed that these materials are prohibited due to their direct threat to public health and their unsuitability for human consumption. The confiscated goods will be destroyed under a judicial order, while inspection campaigns continue to protect citizens' health.
