New Oncology Hospital Saves Nineveh Patients from Traveling to Baghdad

The people of Nineveh Governorate inaugurated the new oncology hospital they had long awaited, as this medical facility represents a qualitative leap in healthcare services for northern provinces. The hospital includes advanced units for chemotherapy and radiotherapy with equipment imported from Germany and Switzerland, in addition to precise diagnostic laboratories. The Minister of Health affirmed that patients will no longer be forced to travel long distances for treatment, which will ease their psychological and material suffering. The Minister revealed plans to establish similar centers in other provinces, while working to provide cancer medications at subsidized prices through agreements with international organizations. Residents hope this project will be the beginning of a comprehensive health renaissance in the region. This achievement is considered an important step toward justice in distributing health services.
