mniraq - The Anbar Criminal Court issued a severe three-year prison sentence against the former director of the Agricultural Bank in Haditha, following his conviction for intentionally damaging public funds. The Supreme Judicial Council clarified that the convict was involved in disbursing funds based on forged documents, in clear violation of legal regulations, in addition to causing the loss of dozens of bank files. The sentence was issued in accordance with Article 340 of the Iraqi Penal Code, as part of ongoing efforts to combat financial and administrative corruption.
