He stated that Iraq is moving towards advanced digital regulation and the activation of 5G networks.
He emphasized that Iraq is undergoing a pivotal phase in digital transformation due to rising demand for digital services, reaffirming the Commission's commitment to transparent sector regulation. He explained that the Commission has issued a regulatory framework for digital platforms and services as a key step to balance user protection with encouraging the digital economy.
He noted Iraq's support for outcome-based governance principles, lowering market entry barriers, and enhancing international cooperation. He concluded by reaffirming Iraq's commitment to activating 5G networks with the utmost effort and speed, as a cornerstone for developing digital infrastructure and improving connectivity.
