mniraq - The Baghdad Provincial Council is preparing to launch the "Mawallidati" application following the selection of a specialized company to implement it, aiming to automate the management of private generators, regulate their fees, and curb price manipulation.
The head of the Oil and Gas Committee in the council stated that the generators file faces multiple issues, most notably disputes between contractors and citizens and rising fuel prices.
He noted that the council prepared a comprehensive study to digitize generator operations in alignment with the government's digital transformation agenda.
He explained that the application will allow citizens to pay generator fees electronically using smart cards, ensuring transparent fee collection.
