mniraq - The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, discussed on Sunday (September 20, 2026) with several relevant authorities the amendment to the Yazidi Survivors Law and other components, in preparation for its approval and vote in upcoming sessions.
According to a press statement, the First Deputy Speaker held an expanded meeting attended by MP Mukhtar Al-Musawi and representatives of the Diwaniyah Order Committee on abductees, the Holy Husseiniya Shrine, and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, during which the importance of parliamentary-governmental coordination was emphasized to expedite the discussions of the legal amendment and present it for a vote.
Al-Dulaimi stressed the need to unify and verify data to address the files related to the amendment, and to ensure the inclusion of all eligible victims in accordance with the applicable legal frameworks.
