mniraq - Local grape varieties topped the pavilions of the agricultural festival in Duhok province, which is characterized by vast agricultural diversity featuring over 100 types cultivated across extensive areas. The province witnessed a remarkable increase in total grape production, reaching approximately 80,000 tons this season. Concurrently, natural honey production recorded a significant boom, rising to about 300 tons due to abundant rainfall and diverse vegetation. This productive abundance coincides with continued government policies banning grape imports during the harvest season, which enhances the protection of local products and provides excellent marketing opportunities for farmers.
