The capital, Baghdad, received yesterday a new batch of US dollar cash shipments, in the context of understandings supporting financial stability and the incoming Iraqi government. Economic experts confirmed that the continued flow of these shipments, estimated at about one billion dollars per month divided into installments, represents a crucial factor in meeting local demand for hard currency. It is expected that these cash inflows will play a positive role in strengthening the value of the Iraqi Dinar and narrowing the price gap in the markets during the coming week, thereby contributing to alleviating the crisis resulting from external transfer restrictions.
