After a long wait, the Communications Commission announced the official launch of 5G services in Iraq, through three major telecom companies currently covering the capital Baghdad and Basra province. The new service will provide fantastic download speeds up to ten times 4G speeds, meaning a real revolution in browsing, electronic gaming, and remote work. Dozens of transmission towers have been equipped with the latest equipment compatible with global standards, with promises to expand coverage to include the remaining provinces soon. The Commission affirmed that subscription prices will be within everyone's reach, with special packages for students and government employees, opening the door to comprehensive digital transformation in the country. Youth hope this step will contribute to providing new job opportunities.
