Water Resources Ministry Announces the Launch of a Comprehensive National Campaign to End Water Violations by Early November

The Minister of Water Resources chaired an opinion board meeting to discuss a series of strategic files related to water wealth management and institutional performance development. During the meeting, the Minister directed that the first of November be the launch date for a major national campaign aimed at removing all violations on the irrigation system, including unlicensed fish lakes, to ensure equitable water distribution. He also emphasized the importance of the staff's commitment to the principles of integrity and transparency, and intensifying field monitoring to eliminate the water hyacinth plant before its expansion. The meeting addressed the general water situation in the country, completion rates of government program projects, approved a draft memorandum of understanding with Algeria to exchange technical expertise, and reviewed updates to the strategic water resources study up to the year 2035.
