Suspect Arrested and Weapons Confiscated Following an Armed Clash in Maysan Province

  Security forces carried out a joint operation in the Qal'at Saleh district, south of Maysan province, following the outbreak of a violent brawl that escalated into an armed clash due to previous disputes. Police detachments, supported by units from the Iraqi Army, swiftly imposed a tight security cordon around the incident site and launched raid and search operations targeting those involved. The operation resulted in the apprehension of one of the participants in the conflict, in addition to the confiscation of various weapons and ammunition used in the incident. Necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect pending judicial referral.
