mniraq - Dozens of demonstrators gathered in central Baghdad to protest the government's decision to devalue the Iraqi dinar against foreign currencies.
The protest followed an official adjustment of the exchange rate to 1,500 dinars per US dollar, shifting from the previous rate of 1,300 dinars.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the new rate was established during a cabinet session to meet pressing financial, economic, and monetary requirements, replacing the exchange framework that had been in place previously.
