Prime Minister Confirms Tangible Progress in Combating Narcotics, Linking it to Anti-Corruption Efforts

The visit included viewing the directorate's permanent exhibition, which highlights mechanisms for combating smuggling and treating drug users, in addition to visiting the martyrs' exhibition to commemorate their sacrifices for the country's security. While chairing a meeting with senior staff at the directorate, the Prime Minister stressed that Iraq is fighting a decisive battle against corruption and narcotics to ensure the future of coming generations, confirming that the country has achieved remarkable progress regionally in preventing the smuggling of illicit substances and the use of its territories as a transit route.
