mniraq - Representative Mohammed Jassim Al-Khafaji addressed an official letter to the Prime Minister demanding the cancellation and clearing of traffic fine amounts accumulated on citizens.
The request came based on the provisions of the constitution and the financial state administration law, noting that the continued application of modern traffic monitoring devices has caused large and doubled fines to be imposed on citizens due to weak awareness and early warning.
The MP demanded approval to waive these fines to confirm that the primary goal of traffic monitoring is general deterrence and preserving citizens' lives rather than material punishment.
