Ministry of Trade Launches All Ration Card Services Digitally and Establishes Refund Mechanisms

The Ministry of Trade announced the launch of all ration card services via its unified electronic application across all governorates, including the Kurdistan Region, following a suspension that lasted over three years, as part of efforts toward digital transformation and procedural simplification. The ministry explained that the rollout of the final service concerning ration card transfers faced temporary technical challenges caused by system service providers, confirming that the technical glitch was promptly resolved and the service is fully stabilized. Concurrently, the ministry confirmed the formation of a specialized ministerial committee to track and recover funds deducted from citizens due to electronic payment failures resulting from high traffic on card-issuing companies, emphasizing its absolute commitment to safeguarding citizens' rights and improving digital performance.
