Ministry of Trade Commences Distribution of New Food Basket Batch

The Ministry of Trade has announced the commencement of processing and distributing a new batch of the national food basket and social welfare rations across all governorates. The ministry urged food supply agents to visit designated distribution centers to finalize procurement procedures. The General Directorate of the State Company for Foodstuff Trading confirmed that the distribution follows a strict timeline, emphasizing the mandatory use of electronic payment (POS) terminals by agents to ensure efficiency. Furthermore, it underscored that all food items undergo rigorous laboratory inspections to verify conformity with safety and quality standards prior to public distribution.
