Ministry of Agriculture Launches Rice Seed Distribution Plan for the Summer Season

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the commencement of rice seed distribution to farmers in preparation for the summer cultivation season. Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari chaired the National Seed Council meeting, which approved providing farmers with 35 kg of various seed varieties per dunam through the Iraqi Company for Seed Production based on application priority. The council also approved receiving, storing, and purifying designated quantities of harvested seeds in cooperation with specialized plants and companies in Karbala and Babylon provinces to ensure the seamless execution of the agricultural plan and support local production.
