mniraq - The Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday (September 13, 2026) that Military Inspector General Staff Lieutenant General Jassem Mohammed Alwan chaired the expanded weekly conference of the General Military Inspection Directorate officers.
The ministry said in a statement that the conference discussed a number of key axes aimed at identifying the most prominent current challenges facing military work, and proposing practical solutions that contribute to developing the capabilities of our armed forces in all their branches and formations.
It added that the conference emphasized adherence to professional standards to enhance the three pillars of inspection: educational, technical, and combat readiness, along with setting the necessary plans to raise the combat and administrative level of all units and diagnose the problems hindering the development of military units.
The statement noted that the Military Inspector General stressed the need for the inspector to be an instructor in all field and specialized circumstances, free from personal favoritism, while ensuring that reports are completed in accordance with the regulations issued by the Inspection Directorate, reflecting the units' ability to carry out their assigned tasks under various conditions.
