mniraq - Official negotiations between Iraq and Turkey have commenced to conclude a strategic framework agreement focusing on joint cooperation in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. The Iraqi delegation was headed by the Minister of Oil, while the Turkish side was led by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. During the inaugural meeting, both sides discussed setting a roadmap for developing the infrastructure of the petrochemical industry and cross-border energy trade, in addition to exploring ways to enhance joint coordination to serve the economic interests of both countries. The Iraqi delegation included senior officials and general managers of companies involved in extraction, marketing, and pipelines, aiming to establish a strong foundation for expanding areas of bilateral partnership.
