Kurdistan Region President: Baghdad is the Strategic Depth, and the Constitution Solves Financial Crises

mniraq - The President of the Kurdistan Region affirmed that Baghdad constitutes the strategic and security depth for the region, stressing that full implementation of the constitution is the optimal solution to end crises related to salaries, the budget, and the oil and gas sector. Speaking at an economic summit, he explained that the economies of the region and Iraq are complementary, calling for an active role for the private sector to transition towards a productive society and to shield investments from political disputes. He noted that the problems lie in the lack of implementation of constitutional articles, stating that federalism strengthens the stability of the entire country.
